February already?

Well, here in Iowa, we're in the midst of a blizzard, so today's a snow day! Actually, the snow part is done (12-14 inches later) but the wind is still howling. Our street hasn't been plowed yet, so we're probably not going anywhere today.

You'll be happy to know I did work out for 30 minutes last night. It was a quick workout while dinner was in the oven, so I didn't put on my heart rate monitor to track calories. For me, January started off so good, 11 days in a row of working out, and then I started to flop. I flopped because I let busy-ness get in the way. Then I got sick. A week later, I'm just now starting to feel better.

So, it's time for some goals for February. February is a short 28-day month (but can sometimes drag on forever), so it's important to make the best of it.

My goals for February are:
-Exercise 5 days a week for a minimum 30 minutes
-Track calories in at least 5 days a week
-Track calories burned during exercise each time I workout
-Drink a minimum of 90 ounces of water DAILY
-Start eating more fruits and veggies again (I've been slacking on this for some reason of late.)

I'll continue my weigh-ins on Saturday and hope to make more than a 2.6 pound progress this month.

What are your goals for this month?

  1. I think I've asked you this before, about why you're not tracking 7 days/week? Also, how many fruits abd veggies are you planning to eat? I think your goals are on the right track, but if you want to lose more, it might take some extra effort. Congrats on the 2.6 lb loss for the month!!!!
